Description

This delicious Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta recipe is packed with flavor and so easy to make. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, this dish is sure to impress your family and friends.


Ingredients

1/2 pound pasta

Salt, to taste

1 chicken breast

Olive oil

Cajun seasoning

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Add salt and cook the pasta until al dente, about 7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Butterfly the chicken breast and cut it into two pieces.
  3. Drizzle the chicken with olive oil, and season generously with Cajun seasoning.
  4. Heat a pan to medium-high heat and cook the chicken for about 4.5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Set aside.
  5. In the same pan, cook the chopped onion for about 1 minute. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add more Cajun seasoning to taste.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  8. Add the cooked pasta and one of the cooked chicken breasts, cubed, to the pan. Mix well.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
  10. Serve the pasta on a plate, topped with the remaining chicken breast.
