Description

Smoked Chicken wings are an American staple dish that can make anyone drool whether It’s the delicious smell the crunchy brown skin or the juicy meat under it.


Ingredients

This recipe is designed to make 4 servings, but don’t hesitate to adjust it to fit the number of servings you need. Now here are the ingredients you need:

  • 6 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsps cooking oil (preferably olive oil)
  • 2 tsps salt
  • 3 tsps black pepper
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • 2 tbsps paprika
  • 2 tbsps chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 2 tsps thyme

For the white BBQ sauce you’ll need:

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp brown mustard (regular is also fine)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup apple cider or white vinegar
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cream style horseradish
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp of garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp of paprika

For the red BBQ sauce:

  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2/3 cup molasses
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp of ground mustard
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 2 tsps hickory flavored liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Dry your chicken with a paper towel. Place them in a zip-lock bag, and
    add the cooking oil and seasoning
  2. Shake the bag until all the wings are coated then let it rest for at least 30min
  3. While it’s resting, mix the topping sauce in a bowl and store it in the fridge
  4. Preheat the grill to 225 degrees
  5. Grill the wings on each side for 20 minutes
  6. Serve with topping or sauce of choice
